Access Control Hardware

Readers, controllers and locks for door entry, running on the same employee records as your clocking in. One person, one credential, one record: the card that opens the cellar door is the card that books them on shift, and a leaver loses both the moment you mark them as gone.

A door needs three things, not one. A reader to identify the person, a controller to decide whether it opens, and a lock with a safe way out. Readers start at £75 excluding VAT and single door controllers at £395, so budget for the set rather than the reader.

Fingerprint and face readers mean there is no card to lend or lose. RFID is quicker at a busy door and cheaper to replace. Most sites end up with both, biometric on the doors that matter and cards everywhere else.
