Our story
We have moved with every change in the way Britain works, from the clocking card in the slot to the app on the phone in your pocket.
What has not changed is who answers the phone. Computime is still independent, still family run and still in Leeds.
Most workforce software companies started with software. We started with the clocks.
1989
Computime is founded in Leeds, building and maintaining mechanical clocking machines for UK factories and offices.
2000s
We move from making our own clocks to supplying biometric and card terminals from specialist manufacturers, and put our effort into the software that runs them.
2022
A full rebrand and relaunch, refreshing our identity and setting the direction for the next generation of our software.
2024
The latest generation of Realtime, our installed system, with rotas, job costing and HR for larger and more complex workforces.
2026
Syncro Connect, our cloud system, arrives with a GPS clocking app and the lessons of everything that came before it.
October 2026
Leave Connect, HR Connect, Fire Connect, Visitor Connect and Access Connect join Syncro Connect, and Edu Connect brings them to schools and trusts.
