The External Bioface Clock is a facial recognition clocking terminal built to live outdoors. It goes on a site gate, a yard entrance or an external door, where an indoor terminal would not survive a winter. Staff clock in by face, palm, or RFID card or fob, and their hours pass straight into Computime time and attendance software. The same unit can control door entry through access control.

Where it is usually fitted
Most commonly on construction sites, where there is no indoor entrance to put a terminal in, and at depots and yards where drivers and yard staff never come through the office. It also covers a second entrance on a manufacturing site where the main clock is indoors.
Before you install biometrics
Facial and palm data are special category data under UK GDPR, so you need a lawful basis and usually a data protection impact assessment before rolling them out, and staff need an alternative if they object.
