The Mini Mag Lock is the part that physically holds an access controlled door shut. An electromagnet in the door frame grips a steel plate on the door, and when someone presents a valid credential the panel cuts power to the magnet and the door opens. There is nothing to wear out and no moving parts, which is why mag locks tend to outlast the doors they are fitted to.

What you will need
A lock is one part of a controlled door. You will also need a reader for the entry side, either an RFID reader, a fingerprint reader or a Bioface Reader. Then an access control panel to make the decision, either C3 for card and fob or Inbio if any door needs fingerprint entry. Add a push to exit and break glass for the secure side, and a power supply.
A note on fire safety
Any lock on an escape route has to release in an emergency without a key, a card or mains power. That is why this lock is fail safe and why the break glass unit is not optional. If the door forms part of your evacuation route, it is worth checking the arrangement against your fire risk assessment before you fit anything, and our Leeds team will spec it with that in mind.
