Pricing, trials & setup

How much does Computime's time and attendance software cost?

Computime starts at £2 per employee per month, or £3 with the GPS mobile clocking app. There are no setup fees and no long-term contracts. See what's included on our time and attendance software page, or book a demo for a tailored quote.

Can I try it before committing?

Yes. You can start a free trial with no card required and no obligation, or book a live demo where our team walks you through the system using your own scenarios.

How quickly can we be up and running?

Most businesses are set up quickly, with our UK-based team guiding onboarding, hardware setup and staff training. Exact timing depends on your size and clocking method — book a demo and we'll map it out with you.

Clocking in: methods & hardware

How do employees clock in and out?

Staff can clock in by facial recognition, fingerprint, RFID card or fob, the mobile app with GPS, or desktop — whatever suits each site. Explore our clocking-in software and the clocking-in app.

Do you offer biometric fingerprint and facial recognition terminals?

Yes. We supply biometric time and attendance terminals, including facial recognition and fingerprint readers, alongside RFID options.

Can remote and field staff clock in?

Yes — the clocking-in app uses GPS location verification, so mobile and field-based teams can clock in accurately from anywhere. See GPS tracking.

Do we have to buy hardware?

Not necessarily. You can run entirely on the mobile app and desktop, or add clocking terminals if you prefer on-site hardware. Browse our hardware.

Payroll & integrations

Does it integrate with payroll software?

Yes. Computime integrates with major UK payroll systems including Sage, Pegasus and QuickBooks. See our Sage payroll integration and payroll software.

How does the payroll export work?

Approved hours flow directly from Computime into your payroll run — no exporting, reformatting or re-keying. Here's why seamless payroll export matters.

Features & management

Can it manage absence and holidays?

Yes — absence and holiday management is built in, with requests, approvals and Bradford Factor tracking.

Does it cover access control, visitor management and fire roll call?

Yes. Alongside time and attendance we offer access control, visitor management and fire roll call — all from one connected system.

Is there an employee self-service portal?

Yes. The employee web portal and app lets staff view hours, book holidays and check rotas themselves, cutting admin for your HR team.

Does it support multiple sites and employee types?

Yes — the system handles multiple locations, departments and employee types (full-time, part-time, shift and contractors) in one place.

Software, hosting & support

Is the software cloud-based or installed on-site?

Both. Syncro Connect is our cloud-based platform suited to most businesses, while Realtime is an installed suite for larger or more complex workforces.

Is Computime suitable for my size of business?

We support organisations from around 10 to 5,000+ employees — over 800 UK businesses use Computime, including the NHS, Volvo, Tata and Specsavers. More about Computime.

Is our data kept in the UK and handled responsibly?

Yes — your data is hosted in the UK and the system is built with UK data protection rules in mind. See our UK GDPR & time and attendance data guide.

What support will we get?

Every query is handled by our UK-based team in Leeds — by phone, email or support ticket, Monday to Friday, never an overseas call centre. Visit the Help Centre or book a demo.
