About Computime

Over 35 years of UK workforce management, built into one modern system

Computime has spent over 35 years helping UK businesses take control of their workforce. From the first mechanical punch clocks to the biometric terminals and cloud software we build today, everything we have learned now lives in our two platforms, Syncro Connect and Realtime.

We are independent and family run, based in Leeds, and we build and support our own software. When you call, you speak to the people who made it.

Our story

Computime has been helping UK businesses manage their people since 1989. We started out supplying and maintaining mechanical clocking machines, and over more than 35 years we have grown alongside the businesses we serve, moving with every change in the way Britain works.

We are an independent, family run business based in Leeds, and we still believe in doing things properly. When you call us, you speak to a real person on our team, not an overseas call centre. That personal, straightforward support is a big part of why so many of our customers have stayed with us for years.

Today our systems range from biometric terminals and access control to full cloud software with a GPS mobile app. Whether a customer needs a simple way to record hours or a complete time and attendance and workforce management platform, we build and support it ourselves, here in the UK.

Everything we have learned over the years now lives in Syncro Connect, our modern cloud platform, and in Realtime, our established system for larger workforces.

The people behind the system

Everything we sell is built, installed and supported by the same team in Leeds. The developers who write the software sit alongside the people who configure your shift rules and the engineers who fit your terminals, so a question about any of it gets answered by someone who actually knows.

That means we build your database around your shift patterns and pay rules before you go live, rather than handing you an empty system and a manual. It also means that when something changes two years later, the same people are still here to change it with you.

It is a big part of why customers stay with us for years, and why we hold a 4.5 rating from 41 Google reviews.

Why businesses choose Computime

Most workforce software companies started with software. We started with the clocks. That hands-on heritage is what sets us apart.

Over 35 years of experience

From mechanical clocks to cloud software, we understand time and attendance because we have lived every stage of it since 1989.

We wrote the software ourselves

Both platforms are our own code, not white labelled or bought in. If something needs changing, we can change it rather than raise it with a vendor.

Hardware and software together

Clocking terminals, software and payroll exports from one supplier, designed to work as a single connected system. One number to call when something is not right.

Scales with your business

No minimum headcount, and room to scale to 5,000 employees across a single site or many, so the system grows with you as your needs change.

Tailored to how you work

We take time to understand your shifts, rules and reporting, then configure a system that fits the way your business actually runs.

Priced for real businesses

Software from £2 per employee per month excl. VAT, with no setup fees and a free trial before you commit. See our full pricing.
